About Me

My name is Katie, I live in Michigan with my husband and two daughters. My oldest is 4, she is very artistic, loving and motherly to her little sister who just turned 1. My baby is very much a Mama's girl, she loves to be held and snuggled.

For my "day" job I work at a 911 dispatcher for the county Sheriff's Department. I say "day", because I work the night shift, long 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off. It has its positives and negatives, but at the end of the night, I love what I do.

Working nights, I have a fair amount of downtime, waiting for the next phone to ring, or officer to decide he wants to get out of his car for a traffic stop. I spend that time crocheting. I love to crochet, I've been doing it since I was 9 (which was a while ago :)), nearly 20 years. My favorite things to make are hats and little clothing items for children. Last year I finally broke down and started selling my items on Etsy. I do it because I love it, and it makes me happy. It gives me so much joy to see my creations on a sweet little newborn or in someone's family portraits that they will hang on their walls for years.
